PrimeTalks is a free, nonpartisan tool that shows you the federal candidates for your address. We keep what we collect to a minimum and we do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.

What we collect

  • Addresses you look up. We save the address, its map location and your congressional district so your results page works. If you are not signed in, it is tied only to your browser session. If you are signed in, it is tied to your account.
  • Your account. If you sign up, we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Your IP address. We use it to check that visitors are in the United States and to limit abuse. We do not keep it as part of your profile.
  • Cookies. Only the ones needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else sees it

  • The U.S. Census Bureau geocoder receives the address you type, to find your district. If it cannot match the address, the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service receives it as a fallback.
  • Candidate and funding data comes from public Federal Election Commission records. Nothing about you is sent there.
  • Page styling and scripts load from public content networks (Tailwind, unpkg), which can see that your browser asked for them.
  • If you donate, the payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Our server is hosted with Contabo.

Your choices

You can use the address lookup without an account. You can delete the addresses saved in your browser or on your account at any time, and delete your whole account, on the Your data page.

Who this is for

PrimeTalks is for U.S. residents aged 13 and over and is available only from the United States and its territories.
